Coming in 2026!

In 2026, Second Star plans to establish an organic community garden near our bee hives. This volunteer-led project will enable Second Star to provide fresh produce and herbs to a local food bank – the Dulles South Food Pantry – in addition to offering local community members the chance to learn about the symbiotic relationship between pollinators and humans’ food sources, and the impacts on wildlife of traditional versus organic gardening methods.  

Second Star is currently seeking an experienced gardener (or a team of gardeners) to help lead this project. See our “Support Our Programs” page for details on how you can get involved!
