Second Star Farm & Wildlife Habitat is a 501(c)3 nonprofit providing under-resourced, underrepresented, and at-risk children, their families, and the local community with opportunities to connect with horses, agriculture, and wildlife. 

At the heart of our work is the belief that people are deeply connected to the natural world and to one another.  Whether caring for a horse, planting a garden, restoring wildlife habitat, or harvesting produce to donate to neighbors in need, participants experience the empowerment that comes from knowing they are part of a community, and that their actions can have a positive and lasting impact.  

By removing financial barriers and creating a safe, welcoming environment, we help children improve mental well-being, develop a lasting respect for animals and the environment, and show them they have the strength to make a meaningful difference in their communities.
